The Brannock Device

The Brannock Device, as seen at the Syracuse Antiques Exchange. This product was invented in Syracuse by Charles Brannock, son of Otis Brannock, a shoe industry entrepreneur who owned one of the largest shoe stores in the eastern United States. Charles was a student at Syracuse University when he created the device in 1925, quickly pantening and creating a company around the innovative product. The device continues to set the international standard for measuring footwear and has sold over one million units. Today, the company operates out of a small warehouse in Liverpool, New York
