150 Coolidge Avenue, former home of Queenie, a beautiful white Collie dog who was owned by Mrs. Eva Richardson in the 1920’s. A 1925 article in the Syracuse Herald tells us that Queenie was the sister of one of former President Calvin Coolidge’s famous Collies, most likely being Rob Roy, his favorite pet.

A picture of Rob Roy and the former First Lady, Grace, hangs in the Red Room at the White House.

The article corresponded with a report that President Coolidge’s son, John, was possibly in town on his way to Massachusetts.

Spoiler Alert: He was not in town.

The home pictured is not the original 150 Coolidge Avenue. The original home was razed and later rebuilt along with several other homes on the block in 2001.
