In April 2014, I featured a story on the Ward Wellington Ward tudor home that sat empty behind an office building standing at 3522 James Street. The office building was built in 1955 at a time when many of the mansions that once lined James Street were being torn down. This builder, for unknown reasons, decided to leave the home and built directly in front of the house. The house was built in the 1920s and used as apartments from 1940 until 1987, later sitting empty for many years. Last week, the home that hung on for so long, was demolished.
