Construction of the Civic Center (photos)

Pictured are photos of the construction of the Civic Center from 1975. The pictures were provided by Greg Lewis of Fayetteville, New York, who took the photographs from the Cathedral Academy, a school he attended that sat directly across from the building being constructed at 421 Montgomery Street. Designed by Canadian architect, Isaac Franco, the $24 million dollar project was the first in North America to combine office space with performing areas.
